The rock hearth and surround is attached to a heavy
metal and is one piece surround and then another piece
is the hearth. There is a built up wooden box that the
hearth stone attaches to top of to raise it to the level
you see in the picture. Stone surround and hearth, also
all the pipe and roof cap is included with the firebox
insert. I will include the ceramic logs also.
The picture is where it is installed in the house is several
years ago. the other picture of insert is now and it has
developed some rust on the metal front, but that can be
sanded and refinished. The whole in the front of the
fireplace is where the gas pipe for valve was installed.
The previous homeowner had installed a gas line and
ceramic logs. Inside firebox the back of refractory
material has slight crack. but that does not extend
through metal. Back and side of insert is aluminum, as
seen in bottom picture.
I removed from my house because of remodeling, added
bathroom in part of living room where fireplace used to
be.
