This position required multi-tasking doing many different tasks as follows. This position also
required travel.
•        Office Administration
o        multi-line phone system
o        mail and document control of architectural drawings and contract documents

o        office equipment use and minor maintenance of office equipment
o         computer software installation and computer update management

•        Cost Estimating:
o        quantification (take-off) of materials and labor quantities
o        developed proposal to submit to general contractor
o        material negotiation with vendors to get the best prices
o        scope review and jobsite visitation when necessary
o        upon contract award ~contract review to verify compliance with estimated budget

•        Project Management:
o        coordinating issuance of required bonds and insurance
o        prepare and execute submittals and follow-up before purchase of materials
o        inspect ongoing projects and attend jobsite meeting
o        coordinated and consulted with the general contractor, architect, designer,  and TZI *
field superintendent to schedule and execute the TZI * contracted scope of work on each
project
o        purchasing (“buy-out”) of the materials needed for project in accordance with the
estimated budget costs and contract
o        coordination of purchased materials for shipping and delivery with vendors and field
personnel
o        developed weekly reports with information from field personnel in order to track job
cost and stay on budget
o        review invoices from vendors to verify the cost matched budget.
o        prepare AIA applications for payment for ongoing projects
o        tracked and billed for extra work for change order to contract
o        prepare and execute close-out documents
o        attend weekly meeting at TZI * to discuss estimating and ongoing project status and
budget condition


1980-1997:         Tile and marble installer/fabricator both sub contract and hourly basis,
residential and commercial, including natural-stone fabrication of edge profiles, and
polishing marble and granite tiles.
1970-1980:        Full Charge Bookkeeper, manual double entry ledger system,  payroll,
purchasing, and office manager for our family owned tile & marble company in Baton Rouge,
and Baker LA. Family owned Airline Tile and Marble, Century Marble, and Leiterman Marble
& Tile.
